I think the new year should be about reflecting on health, work, attitude to life but also on a more in-depth level... To give more, support those in need and naturally become genuinely happier for it.

I meet a lot of influential people on my day to day ventures and world travels, but i'm pleased to have met the founder of a children's charity on my last trip to Maimi for new years- Whizz Kid's charity based in Africa.

Whizz Kid's focuses on supporting youth with HIV/AIDS. The charity uses tactful programs such as mixed gender Football tournaments as an 'analogy to life'

It's Whizz Kid's 10th year anniversay this 2012 and since the start of this remarkably thought out organisation, the staff team and youth involved seems to have grown immensly.

WHY DON'T* we all do something 'really' fulfilling and help support those dedicating their lives to support the disadvantaged.. And let's make a habit of it!

Miami Trip Round 4- NYE*

My 4th trip to Miami & definitely the eye opener to how beautiful the city, is with its huge lavishly designed hotels, restaurants and clubs.

So that's it for modelling this year, i worked on my last shoot yesterday on a beauty magazine feature with a great team. My agency had a Christmas get together that afternoon so i rushed to make it straight after with crazy, cool model Alison from New York- this girls vocabulary is just infinite lol

Drinks at the agency were followed by more drinks with friends at lovely Aqua bar on Argyle Street and great urban music at club Cirque De Soir later.

WORLD Celebrate's Eritrean & Ethiopian Culture* :)

It's about time the world got to know our culture- the Habasha culture* Ethiopian & Eritrean nations. Ethiopia's definitely growing with it's positivity in modern entertainment news, aside from the constant portrayal of famine and disadvantages. Eritrea- where I'm from is a much smaller neighbouring country which holds a population of only 3-5 million. Our culture's are almost identical but our mama Eritrea is yet to fully show case her individual pride. She WILL creep up and catch up to the the lime light soon!

Top of my list is our beautiful food! Rich in flavour from herbs & spices your pallet would have never experienced! Wholesome meat/chicken/fish stews, vegetable dishes and salads are all presented on the famous Injera- a thin pancake like bread (not sweet). Traditionally we eat in one sitting, one large round plate with our hands. Our coffee is made with fresh coffee beans- roasted and brewed on the spot into pretty little coffee sets.. Our music- full on Ethiopian beats and Eritrean tempo's both bring me right back to my proud roots and warm my soul.

Don't even miss to recognise the dance TALENT - Beyonce's shoulder and hair whip's, Dutty Whine, Harlem Shake all seem to definitely be taken from traditional Habasha dance. Our most common tribal clothes- all in white i absolutely love, our hair styles and bold jewellery are just stunning, and of course our women are known to be THE most BEAUTIFUL* :)

If you haven't tried our food, google Eritrean or Ethiopian Cuisine in your town or city and visit the most traditional restaurant. Every body I've introduced to the food is HOOKED! :)
But do be a champ and eat together with your guests on traditional large sharing plate.. WITH your hands- thumbs DOWN J COLE!

Aside from the average day of a model i gained some very wise and inspirational truths this week- thought i'd share on my blog I hope all of you over in cyber world can relate and take something from the following words and statements- i sure have!

~ Sometimes ppl you'd take bullet 4, r the ones behind the trigger
~ Don't ever underestimate the ability to make new friends.. Longevity is not the focus, validity & asset to your present and future life IS
~ Do not let the insecurities and negativity of others influence your choices and direction in life. These people don't have your ambitions and goals so surround yourself with people that do. This is the only way to progress in life... If you want to achieve, surround yourself with achievers
~ The Mayans reckon the world will end in 2012 - so we may as well have a ball, eh?
~Some people have mastered the art of.. BULL***TING.. Be mature to not attend to it, let it distract valid thought process or give it any time. Spend the energy on getting ahead... F*** the sideline drama, and focus on the main deal: achieving goals and ambitions.
~In time, everything is revealed, and karma always says "hello" when least expected!
~Never rely on gossip- request hard facts
~Pay it no mind and prove your doubters wrong by absolutely destroying all competition and have a stellar career / life / attitude... F*** everything else.
~ONCE AGAIN- If you want to achieve, surround yourself with achievers!

Be prepared for anything in this industry.. I had two completely different shoots yesterday with a Japanese themed fashion shoot- hectic styling, huge team, fun atmosphere... and todays with a test commercial for Johnson's Baby products- very calm setting, loads of work with babies too which was sweet but not so easy getting the babies to focus and smile. My baby was asleep for most of the day!

I think i'm shooting bridal next :)

Friday's shoot for R&B Essentials CD cover and tv add had me styled to resemble the Beyonce Pulse perfurm add. The second look had me in hot pants and cute corset top for more of a Riri look- love the spotted shorts!

I've also been shooting for a new cosmteics range- and once gain i had my Beyonce hair put on- love the blond tone of this lace wig!!

For the past few years i've been in LOVE with Nigerian Music.. My favourite two songs had to be Gonga So by 9ice & Fokasibe by DJ ZEEZ!!! Love the lyrics to Taboo by Wande Coal and of course i'm infected by the sounds of D'Banj, 2 face & P Square...
I haven't heard much new releases from Nigerian artists since these songs though. I always tend to stick to hearing the same songs.. Untill most recently!... Wiz Kid's Tease & Don't Dull are blowing my mind! And the the first female Nigerian song i've heard- Kele Kele BY Tiwa Savage is (as nigerians would say)- CORRECT!

The Blitz Party has been going on for a while- apparently! yet it was absolute news to me when i was invited last weekend for a friends surprise birthday.. Of course I was made to shop for a 1940's outfit- and left that to the very last minute.. with no fancy dress stores

around it was down to good old Zara to kit me out :).. I was quite surprised with Zara actually- pencil skirts, old fashion hang bags and even braces for men- so 40's!

Any who... so we head down to Shorditch.. The moment we got out of the cab was like walking right into a time machine! So many people dressed up, 40's music and live band all night, old building and atmosphere.. we even drunk from tin cups! :)

Last week i went to two fab restaurants, both very underrated but great service, atmosphere and of course- DIVINE FOOD!
I was surprised to not have been to Angus Steakhouse before.

Simple food with mouth watering flavor! I went to the one in Leicester Square, where the manager looked after us exceptionally well- especially when our complimentary deserts came out! :)Angus Steakhouse- Leicester Square

I also went to the stunning Benihana restaurant. The entrance is a very discrete door easily missed between Kings Road's busy outlets. Once inside, a huge restaurant fit for a ball awaits! The food is prepared before your eyes on a hot stove on each table. The chef's are more like ninja chefs! Playing tricks with the food and utensils. :)

Our chef started of drizzling oil into a smiley face, made music beats with the utensils and juggled a boiled egg rapidly on 2 spatulas.. All our food was tossed and prepared in just 15 minutes- Totally awesome!

WOW- yes I've been away AGAIN! I was invited to a very last minute trip to Madrid last Wednesday- just for 2 days and ended up staying for a whole week!

We drove all the way from London in a gorgeous Rolls Royce sports car and stayed in the beautiful Hotel America in Madrid. It was a nice city but i found it a bit behind- almost 'third world' with the old/traditional architecture, behind fashion sense and not so glamorous night life.

However we did indulge in a bit of glam when we were invited to Real Madrid's Emmanuel Adebayor's house.. We played pool in his cool games room stroke, bar stroke, movie room!! I was most entertained by Adebayor's constant glory dancing! Every other miniute he would break into an in depth African dance around the pool table LOOOL!!!.. funny but he was actually REALLY good at it! We ended the night in the ONLY hip hop club throughout our whole stay- Lollipop night at club Capital. Madrid definitely caters more to the tecno/house crowd- YAAAAWN!

On our last night we ate at the lush Buddha restaurant and went to a huge club quite far out called Space. Drag queens and fetish models were the focus of the atmosphere here, on huge stages at the front of the club.. We met a famous spanish transvestite who partied with us all night. She was actually GORGEOUS.. until we met in the Ladies room i was very convinced!!

I went to one of the best parties last night- to celebrate Chelsea FC's Didier Drogba's birthday party at Raffles club.

We walked through to the main club floor thinking we'd just be joining our friends on a table, but was taking to a more intimate private room in the back of the club. Dj's including Mr Play smashed it with the tunes all night! Soloman Kalou and Ashley Cole were amongst the guests. Smiles all around! Well done to the organisers!

First of all i wanna recommend my new personal trainer's website- Breath Fitness

I'm in my 3rd week of training 4 times a week and I'm so excited to see the end result. Anthony my trainer is on the ball and offers great deals for multiple sessions. Call him today!

So just a couple weeks after my hunting trip to Tanzania, i treated myself to another holiday away to Miami! :) It was my third time here but most definitely best time round!

Due to my unpunctual divarish flying habits- we actually MISSED OUR FLIGHT and was told we'd have to wait 2 days to get the next direct flight. Just as we'd decided to go for breakfast in the airport and leave we came straight back to check in determined to flee from London asap!Finally we arranged to connect from New York. We stayed in miserably cold and breezy New York for one night. I've also been here a couple times but this was a lousy experience with the worst weather and crap club we was invited to! YUK!

ENTER MIAMI! We did it all. We went para sailing in south beach, went to the best restaurants and clubs including LIV at The Fontainebleau Hotel! We of course went shopping and even indulged in a full spa trip at the Gansevoort Hotel.

The highlight of my trip was definitely our night out to the King of Diamonds Strip Club! Wow!

At first we were a bit boujie and uncomfortable getting dances of naked girls and completely incapable of how to even 'make it rain' on the dancers. Before long there was an announcement for a female boxing tournament right in the strip club! We didn't know what to expect- but sure enough there was girls in the ring knocking each other out! It was a jaw dropping scene with dollar notes pouring over the girls every so often!

We didn't even need to go to a club to dance and party- the strip club was a party itself with full blown entrainment. To top the night of, the last dancer called 'Tip Drill' took to the stage!(presumably named after the infamous strip club track by Nelly)

I wish we could take photos in here because this girl was TALENTED! The pole itself was high enough and she did the usall climb and sudden drop to the stage.. But this 'Tip Drill' took it to the next level when she started to actually climb the CEILING- doing sexy monkey bars on there and flinging here self back and forth from the pole to the bloody ceiling. It was INSANE!

We were s excited we blew handbag AND shoe money on this one dancer! No sleaze- just pure Talent.. ART!

OMG i just saw the most cringing yet amazing thing on Keeping UP with the kardashians. It was the final episode of the season and the night kourtney has her baby Mason.

Not only was kourtney so calm and collected when her water broke- even opted to have a shower and do her make up before going in Labour.. when the doctor asks if she wanted to touch his head whilst pushing, she actually reached and PULLED HER BABY OUT.. She didn't even cry or make a sound- this women is phenomenal. I mean I EVEN CRIED!!

I can only pray to god i am half as strong and QUICK at my birth!

I know i only just got back from my HUNTING TRIP in Tanzania- but I'm already off for another break to Miami this Sat 19th for a few days!

I'm hoping to meet some model agencies out there and just relax and have fun before my hectic months ahead in London.

Starting of with my hardcore 6 hour a week personal training I've just signed up for!! Back to full time modelling AND i'm also organising a huge event in May- hush hush.. i wont spill on that just yet!

I rarely post entries on music.. but there's only one rappers album I'm anticipating right now.. Enter Roc Nation's first signed artist- J Cole!!

London might not be as familiar with the raising star but he definitely is one to watch out for. He seems to stick to more traditional flow of rapping and beats... I don't know about you but I'm fed up of r&b and rap being diluted with pop and house influence! Or rappers just rapping for the sake of rhyming words and making noice over a beat- with no depth to the actual song- no story!

My ipod is repatative with old school classics like Dead Prez- 'Hip Hop', Mobb Deep- 'Burn', 2pac- 'Picture me Rolling'.. i could go on! even create my own mix tape :)
As much as i love Drake and Kanye West and all the catchy tracks out nowadays, i think we need another big rapper that lives by more tradition style of rap!

Another rapper- I'm looking forward to hearing more off is definitely Nipsey Hussle. Gotta support my fellow Eritrean peeps- but love what i've heard of Nipsey so far. Snoops 'Doggystyle' albums is right up there in my favourite rank and Nipsey sure reminds me of him -even looks like him!

I also hear Doctor Dre's releasing a new album too- hope he comes back hard as ever!... On that note- here's a definet favourite of mine! Explosive- one of the sickest beats ever!

Drake's Girlfriend* :)

I've lived in London for nearly two decades now... apart from Nottinghill Carnival I've never experienced as much commotion as i did during the Drake tour!! Everybody wanted a piece of this guy!

Crowds queued up outside clubs in their hundreds, as early as 7pm just to get in! The concert itself was buzzing.. I loved the way Drake took time to interact with the crowd towards the end.. One lucky fan even got a kiss- jEALOUS!!

I was lucky to meet the handsome rapper with friends at Nobu Bar......

Here's a quick priview of the last couple of weeks I've had.

I was on this Morning yesterday modelling the latest fashion trends of fashion week. My whole family tuned in to see me on live TV- was great fun meeting the team at ITV and even saw Pete Burns!

Marbella & Alicante* WORK & PLAY

The last week and a half has been so hectic for me- I've been on 6 flights in the this time and had to recover from an exhausting holiday!

I was called out to Alicante to do a gorgeous beauty shoot for a skin care brand and stayed her one night and one day. The crew at this shot where so lovely and all amazing at their individual work. Here's some back stage snaps of me at work!

I'd already been to Marbella a few days prior to this shoot for bank holiday weekend (madness). We went to the most amazing pool party at Ocean Club- The Champagne Party. At 100 Euros entry i hoped this would be worth it and it sure was. You get a bottle of champagne with each entry fee and more just simply given away to you throughout the party. Everyone was ordering bottles to just spray at each other, there was the biggest bottles I'd ever seen roaming about with fancy sparklers and this party started at 12pm so your sure to be lagging by 5pm!

Was more like a shift at work- 12- 8 drinking and still expected to go to a club after!! Here's a few snaps of me before being thrown into the pool- i cant swim so thought i was gonna die!!! But was soon saved and whisked away by a new pal from Birmingham :)

This was one of the holidays you need a holidays to recover from!! I went back for my friends birthday straight after my shoot in Alicante for more MAYHEM, but luckily stayed in a lovely villa with the girls and kept the rocking to a minimum.

Birthday Girl busy having a BLAST*

Well it was my birthday last Wednesday 7th- and boy did i have an amazing time! Me and a load of guests were spoilt with a complimentary dinner at The Collections* restaurant in South Ken, then we all tallied up in a row of black cabs to Alto club! Where I was sure spoilt even more with a free table and two Jeroboams (3ltr Vodka bottles!)

It was definitely raining bottles on my table when my friends brought out my second delicious cake of the night with more bottles of Champaign and Vodka! FAB NIGHT :) Video coming soon!!

I definitely geared up to my birthday celebrations with more fun days & nights out.

And a few days before i went off to my little sisters NRA (last day of secondary school). I had the longest session at the Gym today! An hours workout out followed by another hour at 'Body Attack' class. This class is amazing for an all over workout. Ask your gym if they have anything similar- your body will LOVE you for it! I ended my time with a good chill out in the steam and sauna.

Hi everyone- sorry i haven't checked in for a while, been rushing around with work and finishing uni for the year! It feels great to finally have some time of juggling everything and to just concentrate on my modelling for a while.. all in time for the summer :)

I'm so pleased to see that i still have many visitors to my blog everyday so promise to keep updating more often!

Modelling has been picking up again for the year. I did a cool jewellery shoot last week and went to Germany a couple days later for an Adidas Show. It was the best show I've ever done with nearly 50 models from all over the world, loads of dancing around, choreographed scenes and not the usual straight forward catwalk show!

After keeping hush hush about my Pantene casting, (lesson from my last Rimmel short list) i GOT THE JOB!

Cant wait to shoot. Plus my Galaxy Chocolate advertorial comes out tomorrow in a few magazines- cant wait to check it out!

I did a gorgeous beauty shoot today with photographer Charlotte and Make up Artist Cheryl. The pictures are by far the best Ive had so far. Will upload them all next week.

So, i also wanted to share with you a few favourite treats i indulged in over the weekend!

1: Body Combat Class at LA Fitness gym. Marshall arts meets Karate based work out that works every inch of your body. Its the best class for losing weight and toning without getting bored at the same time!

2:Nozomi Restaurant: The first time i tried the black Cod dish at Nobu was enough excitement for me, but the black Cod at Nozomi is absolutely D-vine! To die for. Take you mate, girl/guy friends to Nozomi (SW3), you'll never have tried anything like it!

3: More food: Pret have the perfect, healthy foods for on the go. I've been living off their delicious home made soup for the past week. They have 3 different flavours, its only £3 for a good size pot, and also healthy yet very filling!

4: Movies: I loved "District 9" in cinema, and on Sunday got to lounge to "Coco before Channel'' on DVD. Simply fabulous!

5: Lastly: Lost my phone, insurance company sent me the wrong phone back- so I've now finally joined the Blackberry massive. Messenger is supposed to be quicker and cheaper, i just hope i don't regret cancelling my unlimited text bundle!

Football & Dinner*

Last night we travelled on the longest train ride EVER, to watch Portsmouth (playing home) vs Aston Villa. After a manic episode at the train station, we arrived over an hour late and strolled through, VIP style at half time!

The game was really fun to watch. The Fans filled the stadium with loud drumming and chanting, almost felt like being in an ancient gladiator coliseum!

Thought some of the players were a bit ''CLUMSY'' with there performance though! :)

Portsmouth lost 4- 2.

Mondays dinner party was of the hook! Had a lovely free course dinner with endless bottles of red wine. The walk down the stairs from the calm restaurant straight into the pumping club was crazy- we had so much fun.

Our table was certainly the talk of the night- with vodka and sparklers, and all 14 of us GIRLS*!

Tk Max- High Street Kensington: Designer handbags, shoes, dresses, coats, and more. Its not the average jumble sale of a discount store, every thing's in order and organised. I just found a lovely evening clutch bag for £12!!!!!

Hair: Free hair colour and cuts at top salons when you model for professional hair presentations (for trainees etc.) Ask in any major high street salon for ''Model Nights.''

Dinner & Drinks Fun: Club promoters often host dinner parties for the ladies, at top venues before heading to the club for drinks. Its all free for the lucky girls and you could find yourself spoilt with complimentary dinner and drinks at least 3 times a week! :)

Unfortunately i only managed to do half a days work at my Marie Claire internship. It proved to be too much for me on top of everything with modelling, uni and my evening job.

Such a shame, i got the call to join the offices straight after i emailed the editor, and i missed out on a great opportunity to connect with fashion industry professionals! :(

Moving on to my student galore experience in Kingston last night. I went to the very popular Oceana club. The venue was humongous, with loads of rooms includingg a traditional ballroom. Considering it's a student hang out, Oceana has a very mature and vintage character, yet the herds of raving students somehow seem to fit right in place!

We chilled at a cigar lounge type room on the way out, down a classic set of grand stair cases. Drinks weren't even close to half price of west end clubs!

Week end club hopping*

I had a grand time last weekend away from work, uni and running to castings in the rain! I was asked to host and present a cool fashion show at Movida* club on Thursday. It was a bit nerve racking, Fashion TV was filming and i had no time to even rehearse my words!

Stayed to party after, grabbed some cool goodies and met champion boxer David Haye!

Hope to get the footage soon, so will stick in an entry as soon as i do.

Alto club was wicked on Saturday. Spotted JLS, Alexandra Burk, Sugababe Amelle and a bunch of footballers all around. Everyone had loads of fun- Fab Club!

Bad Hair Month*

That's it, I've finally decided to invest in permanent glossy locks! Lace wig or weave??.. Brazilian or Indian.. Curly or Straight!! Its not easy i tell ya!

I adore the style of Ciara's lace wig. The texture and warm, golden colour is simply gorgeous.
